Afternoon Sales & Marketing Conference – Indianapolis

By Speaking Events

Join me for a unique afternoon workshop in Indianapolis. I’ll be out there for the National Speakers Association annual convention, where I’m honored to also be presenting. While I’m in Indianapolis I’ve decided to do a small workshop. It’s going to be two great presentations:

How to communicate more effectively with prospects via email

It would be so much easier if they would just pick up the phone and call you, wouldn’t it? But these days that’s not happening very much. Do you know why? Does it really matter why? You’ve always had to adapt to how your prospect’s preferences, not the other way around. In this session Alan will walk you through the ins and outs of communicating with today’s prospects.

Here’s what you’ll learn:

•       Why they won’t call you

•       How to have a real conversation via email

•       How much you should write in an email

•       When and how to use attachments

Close more sales, Today!

Whether you love to sell or hate it, if you don’t close the sale there’s no food to cook, dresses to sew, images to capture, flowers to arrange, music to play, weddings to coordinate… you get the idea.

You can do everything else well (marketing, social networking, advertising, websites, conversion, SEO and ROI), but you still have to take that final step and close the sale. Love it or hate it sales is an integral part of your business.

This is a common truth, regardless of what industry you’re in. Here are some specific success stories I have had with clients:

  • Sambla, a Norwegian company offering låne penger (loans) services online
    • By changing the language that their sales people used when communicating with potential borrowers, conversions went from 2.14% to just under 4% on cold leads
  • Meals on Wheels, a non-profit helping stop hunger
    • By changing the language cold callers used when calling seniors in impoverished areas, callers reported that they felt more trust in the service and conversions increased by 18%

In this session Alan will give you the tools you need to close more sales, including:

•   When to ask for the sale

•   How to ask for the sale

•   How to see the buying signals more clearly

•   Plus: we’ll reveal the number one skill you need to close more sales

All you need is one good idea to put into action to earn your investment back from this workshop. What are you waiting for? Register now.

These two sessions are valuable, no matter what your service. Do these things better and you’ll make more money. It’s that simple… or is it? Come to this workshop and find out. You only need one new idea to implement to earn back your small investment many times.

National Speakers Association (NSA) conference

By Speaking Events

I’m so privileged to be invited to speak at the National Speakers Association (NSA) annual conference this year. The NSA is the premier group for professional speakers, and I’m proud to be a member. They’ve asked me to present “5 Things You Wish You Knew Before You Made Your Website, and How to Fix them NOW!”, which is the basis for my book “If your website was an employee, would you fire it?”.

While I’ve been speaking professionally for over 10 years, this will be my first time presenting to a group of professional speakers. No pressure!

In addition to speaking, I’ll also be playing keyboard in the NSA All-Star Band for various sessions and events throughout the conference.
